Watch daily demonstrations of wheat and oat threshing\, working saw mill\, blacksmithing\, horse field plowing\, corn pickers and sheller's and more! A weekend full of social activities including daily women’s and children’s events\, a Thresherman’s Dinner\, square dancing and a pie auction is just plain family fun! Food is available on grounds. SUMMARY:Paying it forward ~ 2015 Jackie Carey English Demolition Derby Car Show/Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Power up for the car show and demolition derby!  Antique to modern\, modified to race cars and everything in between plus\, motorcycles and power operated cars\, trucks are invited to partake in this annual fundraiser held at the Henry County Fairgrounds\, Cambridge\, IL.\n\nView the car show lineup beginning at 11 a.m. and view not only the cars but the pin-up girl contest entries\, be ready to cast your vote until 2 p.m.  for both the cars and the pin-up girls “People’s Choice”.  Visit with the Vintage Patriotic Pin-Up Girl’s dressed in full pin-up attire; take a selfie with one of them or all of them.\n\nStroll through vendor’s booths selling trinkets and food! Let the kid’s experience the Kids Fun Zone. A blow up obstacle course\, face painting and other fun activities.\n\nMake sure you grab a grandstand seat early for the demolition derby! The Illinois Patriot Guard Riders will be on hand for the National Anthem ceremony.  Then it’s the youth demolition derby – in battery operated power wheels. Watch children age three to ten showing off their skill.\n\nAround 2 p.m. watch over 75 cars battle it out dashing and darting in the Demolition Derby.  The last one running wins! All awards including People’s Choice will be announced along with the 50/50 and raffle winners from the grandstand beginning at 3 p.m.\n\nFamily fun is in store at the Henry County Fairgrounds host to the Jackie Carey Demolition Derby and Car Show.  Hear screaming motors and metal crunching! Donations are $8 for Adult and $25 for a Family. All proceeds from raffles\, 50/50 and the Jackie Carey English Demolition Derby and Car show entries will benefit Honor Flight of the Quad Cities. Have you ever wanted to play paintball but didn’t like the idea of getting shot or getting dirty? We have found the solution. The zombies have the rage but ONLY YOU have the weapons!\n\nZombie Quest has quarantined a horde of infected zombies. They are growing stronger and are planning their evacuation routes to attack our farm maybe you and the world. Their intent is surviving and creating more of their kind. They have no emotional core and no conscience but we must put limits to their schemes. Our game plan is to go in and get them before they get us!\n\nOur specialized fabricated hayride trailer allows 12 people per ride to join our cause to eliminate these creatures that have an insatiable hunger for human flesh. Our specialized weapons have pathogens and parasites that can destroy the diseased zombies before the infection strengthens\, spreads\, and breaches containment. Humanity is counting on you. Shoot fast\, shoot true\, and shoot to kill. Do not hesitate or you could become one of them!\n\nZombie Quest Day rides are only $5 and available Monday through Friday\, 10am-6pm; Saturday and Sunday\, 10:30am-6pm.
